About Me
I am a fashion designer and educator skilled in functional and protective military clothing, sportswear, childrenswear, costume design, technical design, trend analysis, color design, pattern drafting, and draping. I have a passion for teaching and over ten years of experience instructing in higher education. In my teaching practice, I focus on building critical, creative, and conceptual thinking skills for designers.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion design from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and a Master of Arts in Critical & Creative Thinking from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
I am primary patent holder for a protective garment designed for the US Army to protect soldiers in the periphery of a IED blast (Patent #US9322618B1).
